Software Requirements

This page details the software requirements for your MasterLibrary system.

An existing UNIX-based system running SqueezeCenter is a prerequisite of running SlimCar.

Operating System

• UNIX-based, Linux highly recommended.
• MS Windows is not supported (and it probably never will be)

Software

• Rsync - used for synchronising music library, playlists and SqueezeCenter's database. See the RsyncHowto to learn how to install and configure Rsync.
• SqueezeCenter - also requires Perl and MySQL. Very easy to install and configure on UNIX-like systems. See www.slimdevices.com∞ for more details.
