Path Configuration

SlimCar relies on certain files being in the correct places. This page summarises the most important paths required, for your MasterLibrary and for SlimCar. You will see that both systems must store music and playlists at /mnt/music and /mnt/playlists respectively, this is because SqueezeCenter's database (and playlists) contain hardcoded complete paths.

MasterLibrary

SlimCar requires the following configuration to work as you would expect.

SlimCar

Although many of the paths below cannot be altered, the information below is provided for your reference.

Path	Description	Notes
/mnt/music	Music Library	Used as the mount point for the partition containing your music. Rsync copies the contents of your Music Library to this location when you initiate a sync
/mnt/playlists	SqueezeCenter Playlists	Playlist files are synchronised with your MasterLibrary and stored on the main/system partition.
/etc/slimcar.conf	Configuration File	SlimCar's configuration file. This can be edited using the Web Interface.
/etc/rc.d	Boot Scripts	SlimCar's custom bootscripts are stored in this folder. See Boot Sequence for more information.
/var/squeezecenter	SqueezeCenter Status etc	SqueezeCenter stores it's log, PID and cache files here.
