Configuration Files
SlimCar includes a few configuration files that can be used to adapt the system to your particular setup. These files are created according to your choices when you use the
Installer.
slim.prefs
This is the main
SqueezeCenter preferences file. It details everything from the location of your music files (/mnt/music in this case) to the formats used for displaying track names etc. This file is made available for convenience - you can copy/paste large chunks of your
MasterLibrary's configuration if you wish. Otherwise, you can edit almost every aspect of
SqueezeCenter's configuration using it's web interface on port 9000.
/etc/slimcar.conf
This file is used to tell
SlimCar where to get music from, which services to run and what networking settings to use. It can be edited using the
WebInterface, or manually with a text editor (GNU nano is provided) either locally or over SSH.
